The US Department of Commerce announced Tuesday the allocation of $123.6 million in fishery resource disaster funding, drawn from money appropriated by Congress in the American Relief Act of 2025. According to a Minato Shimbun report, Japan's exports of frozen mackerel doubled year-over-year (YOY) in April, reaching 15,814 tons.
